Ben Morris for PonyStep

PonyStep Online Magazine has a spread up shot by Photographer Ben Morris. What I like about the work is the sense of place that the photos have. You should check out his website (below) to see more of his great work. You can see this full spread at PonyStep.

Elisabeth Toll, photographer

This shot is fantastic: The trees, the height, the movement, and the black styling.
Photographer: Elisabeth Toll
Toll does great work and I love her play with shadow.

December Look from FANTASTIC MAN

Lanvin Suit and Hugo Boss gloves

Bill Tornade: Instant Style

Bill Tornade is great, not only because he has been doing it for so long, but because his collections are always ready to hit the streets. You put his clothes on, and it's instant cool and style. It seems so simple. Tonrade's designs give Men a chance to look as if they have been sharp dressers all their lives. The pics above capture looks from Bill Tornade's AW 2009 collection. The use of boots throughout is nice as is the pop of color here and there with the knit scarfs. You can see the entire collection on Tornade's site. There, you can also see his SS 2010 collection which includes some very light cardigans.

Manuel Albarran

Manuel Albarran's metal couture is sleek, futuristic, and mindful of the past. Albarran has been designing his pieces for sometime now, but his work may be gaining attention due to publication like the DAZEDandCONFUSED ARTICLE this month and the fact that his pieces are featured in the new Lady Gaga video for "Bad Romance." It seems that Albarran thinks of himself as for than just a designer. His pieces are definitely ART: As good as they look on people, they photograph well, and are fine exhibits as stand alone objects.

Thierry Mugler AW Collection and SS 2010 Collection

We love Thierry Mugler because it is about an attitude that says, "I want to be noticed, but don't fuck with me." Or, at least, that's my take on it. For this reason, Autumn Winter collections are always more interesting than Spring and Summer. The coats, the layers, the boots: It's all Killer. These are three of my favorite looks from the AW collection. You can also check out a video of the SS 2010 collection below. As I said, I always find the Fall the most interesting, but if you love color, especially light blues and pinks, you will enjoy the Spring collection, too. The Summer suits steal the show.

Petar Petrov: Simplicity With An Edge

Petar Petrov is based out of Vienna. I'm digging his design for its simplicity that make the looks seem effortless, yet edgy. You can buy Petrov designs from SSENSE (link below) and see his newest collection or check out his site. Brilliant!

Bell Soto and David Samuel Menkes in Visual Tales

I love this pic because it captures such a character and brings it to life. There is a softness that is counter balanced by the leather pants and whip by David Samuel Menkes. To put Menkes' leather wear in a fashion editorial such as this, is brilliant. It puts his work in a completely different light than what you may find on his website (beware, a bit racy).

Characters for Fantasticsmag

Nicole Anne Robbins recently contributed a fantastic spread for none other than Fantasticsmag featuring a fantastic grouping of designer fashions.  My favorite piece is definitely the ASHTON MICHAEL top (black, above). However, Robbins was generous enough to incorporate videos into her spread and the best video is that featuring the designs of LOVA.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt in GQ

The fantastic actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt is pictured in the December issue of GQ sporting cost effective styles from the likes of Gap, Top Man, H&M, Uniqlo, and more. The article is about well made, nicely priced, Recession minded wardrobes. I also believe that Mr. Gordon-Levitt has a couple of movies coming out this Winter Season.

Photo above features Uniqlo: coat, shirt, and pants. Complete look for under $250.
