Zana Bayne in VAGA Magazine: Collection VI

The work of Zana Bayne, simply put, is sexy. I enjoy her pieces, and have posted on her in the past. The looks below feature pieces from across the designer's handmade collections, including the most recent Collection VI. Songzio Fall/Winter 2013

Tight and fitted suits with a look of being eroded: the Songzio Fall/Winter 2013 collection creates a feel of decadent decay with these leather suits. I enjoy the gold tones that come from underneath the distressed material on the black jacket below. See more HERE on Totem Fashion.

Belstaff Fall/Winter 2013

I've never thought of race car drivers as particularly glamorous, but that's what Belstaff had in mind for their Fall/Winter 2013 collection. I'm convinced. I get the cool factor being a racer can give a guy (or gal for that matter); Yet Belstaff has added more value to iconic racer imagery. Sheik racers: sexy, macho, and well-put-together. The collection features so much in the way of brilliant outerwear that I can't begin to post all the pieces I enjoy, but here are some of the looks and items I'm very happy to see. John Richmond F/W 2013

John Richmond has a way for designing cool without trying too hard--as it should be. That's the case with the designer's Fall/Winter 2013 collection. I enjoy the leather accents and the embellishments added to the jackets that give a feeling of strength and intrigue . See more HERE.

"Fascist Fashion" by Joe Lally, styled by Jean Luc Francaise

For all those who might have a leather fetish, this shoot is for you. Styled by Jean Luc Francaise, Joe Lally photographs a leather-clad fascist story entitled "Fascist Fashion." But really, this is a story about leather fetish and those who love the lifestyle--or at least try it on for size every now and then. What I enjoy the most about the shoot is the underwear featuring leather straps with buckles on the sides. If you're gonna do it, go all the way: leather, head-to-toe and below. STNTN 2012

Founded in New York, 2011, and now based in Paris, neckwear and leather goods maker, STNTN, offers minimalistic pieces for the man (or woman) who wants something a bit unique. I'm enjoying the creativity and simplicity of the products like the leather neckcuff, below. See more HERE on Selectism, including an attache and some files.

"Doheny Drive" by Doug Inglish

Definitely some Brando being channeled in this Beverly Hills/Hollywood entitled set by Doug Inglish for Numero Homme China #5--"Doheny Drive." This is just a great shot with the chain, and a bit of a peek-a-boo shot underneath. See more of the shoot HERE on SissyDude.

Paul Smith Spring/Summer 2013

The Paul Smith Spring/Summer 2013 collection has much to offer including prints and more pastel toned colored suits and jackets--very classic cuts. Two of the pieces I enjoy the most are these biker jackets as paired with these great pants. A great look is seen here with the simple white buttoned shirt set behind the pink and red hues along w/ the boots below (not as keen on the strapped loafer). Black Means Spring/Summer 2012

Tokyo label, Black Means, has an edge and a DIY aesthetic that has been evolving since its founding in 2005. Their forte is the leather bike jackets, as seen below (notice the great color). But I am excited by the accessories for the legs--the knee and shin covers with a samurai/cyber-punk vibe. See more of the current collection HERE on Selectism. Rufskin: Sheer collection

James Dean, but in a one piece--for which I am a fan of both. This shot is by Ethan James and features a sheer one piece from Rufskin, for purchase HERE. I enjoy the pairing of two sexy materials in black as well as the vintage feel of the shot. See more of the spread HERE on Homotography.

Alexis Mabille Fall/Winter 2012-13

From Paris Fashion week comes the latest Alexis Mabille collection. Like last year, Mabille has presented one of my favorite collections this season with a nice mix of prints, textures, colors, materials, and attitudes. The Mabille man is a tough dandy type this season. Some of the most interesting pants this season are these from the designer utilizing a quilted-like, scaling,  application in both a softer and much edgier--leather--materials. Embellished Rebellion in Hero Mag

I'm enjoying the embroidered detail--with an Asian flare to it (as seen in maybe a Chinese military design)--seen here on the jacket photographed by Dennis Schoenberg for the latest issue of Hero magazine. GMG--S/S 2012

What I enjoy about the pieces by Gabriella Marina Gonzalez is the romantic quality she brings to what could otherwise be very hard edged goods--leathers and studs. ZANA BAYNE LEATHER--F/W 2011

I enjoy the creativity of these leather pieces by Zana Bayne. The use of slimmer strips allows for the creation of more intricate design, and breathes more of a fashion forward air into the work as opposed to a heavy fetishist vibe. See more HERE. 

Jeroen van Tuyl Fall 2011

As part of the gray and black palate (there are some pops of color, like a nice brilliant blue) of the Jeroen van Tuyl Fall 2011 collection is this "shattered" waistcoat made of leather, but with an onyx-like appearance. It's as if someone went for your gut with a sledgehammer--I'm enjoying it and find it very inspiring. The "shattered" motif finds its way into several of the pattern choices in the collection as well. But it is this piece with its destructive gleam that leaves the greatest impression. a warrior inspired shoot by Fernando Mazza

I'm in the mood for some escape, so why not a fantasy of warrior-like proportions and grandeur. That is the inspiration for this shoot by photographer Fernando Mazza with the help of stylists Mauricio Mariano and Alessandro Lazaro. What I'm enjoying most about the story is the accessories--bountiful. I'm inspired to pursue some bounded and belted decadence--and the chain mesh head piece is killer. See more HERE at Fashionisto.
