Christopher Kane in Wonderland Magazine

What I enjoyed the most about Christopher Kane's S/S 2013 collection was the really cool graphic used throughout. You can really get a sense for how vivid and engaging the print is with this shot by Jeff Hahn for Wonderland Magazine featuring a top and underwear by Kane. See the rest of the shoot HERE on Fashionisto.

Custo Barcelona Spring/Summer 2013

Patterns and colors come bursting off the runway as part of Custo Barcelona's Spring/Summer 2013 collection. There's a good deal of vivid and booming pattern, color, and texture being used in fashion at the moment. This is good, but it's even better when fanciful creations actually obtain harmonious ground; Custo Barcelona has done just that, particularly with the darker graphics. These looks are playful yet smart. Next Spring might be even more brilliantly deranged than the last. See more of Custo Barcelona's S/S 2013 collection, HERE on FuckingYoung!

Rad Hourani for Joyce Hong Kong

Rad Hourani created a special collection for Joyce Hong Kong. It features select pieces. What I enjoy the most about them are the pops of red available, and the tails and backs of the jackets below. Actually, the red piece is more of a sweater hybrid piece. That's one of the aspects of Hourani's approach I appreciate the most: the transformability and blocking of both color and fabric pieces. See more of the special 5th anniversary collection HERE on Fashionisto.

Komakino Spring/Summer 2012

Summer comes around, and I'm usually not too thrilled to put on shorts. Yes, they make the heat a lot more sufferable, but I don't care for the look most of the time. However, if I had some of the pieces from husband/wife duo Komakino's S/S 2012 collection, perhaps I wouldn't be so grumpy about the summer prospects. The pieces and looks in the collection definitely have a puck quality, but what I enjoy most is the minimalism, length, and cut of the designs. See more of the collection HERE on Morphosis. You can also check out a video featuring the collection on Komakino's site.

The Blonds RTW 2012

The Blonds' RTW 2012 collection--Dye Blond--from NYC. I'm enjoying the glimmer and the use of very intricate prints on the pants--ammo even. Bikers getting sexy and decadent--what's not to love. The necklaces sparkle with a Eurasian or even Persian slant. See more HERE on Homotography or WWD.

Jeroen van Tuyl Fall 2011

As part of the gray and black palate (there are some pops of color, like a nice brilliant blue) of the Jeroen van Tuyl Fall 2011 collection is this "shattered" waistcoat made of leather, but with an onyx-like appearance. It's as if someone went for your gut with a sledgehammer--I'm enjoying it and find it very inspiring. The "shattered" motif finds its way into several of the pattern choices in the collection as well. But it is this piece with its destructive gleam that leaves the greatest impression. See more of the collection HERE on Fashionisto.

Bon Abstract Combinations

What I am enjoying most about this editorial are the stellar combinations of print, shape, and texture. Photographed by Andreas E. G. Larsson with styling by Stevie Westgarth for Bon magazine. The red and orange in the first pic (jacket and turtleneck) are thanks to Mugler. The second pic--which I enjoy for its off kilter angle--features Prada color blocking, and J.W. Anderson paisley. See more of the Abstract looks HERE on Fashionisto.

Simon Spurr--Spring 2012

Simon Spurr has delivered the most enjoyable collection for New York Fashion Week Spring 2012 that I have seen thus far. What I enjoy is the use of mixed materials--creating a vibrancy--and the color striped pieces. Oh--and I cannot leave out the knee high boots. All together, the stripes, mixed materials, and overall sheen create a very Rock&Roll inspired vibe--just check out the cut on the leather jacket. See more of the collection HERE on Fashionisto.

Brian Lichtenberg in UMag August 2011

Shirley Yu photographs pieces by Brian Lichtenberg of L.A. for the sex issue--August 2011-- of UMag: the feature entitled "Summer Time." I'm a fan of the reflective jacket and enjoy the way Lictenberg brings that glimmer to the simplistic structure of a tank. See more HERE on UMag.

New Romance in 1883 Magazine--"Treu"

Photographer Daniel Roche caught this great shot for 1883 Magazine. Styled by Susanne Marx, the attitude is very New Romantic, but with an edge thanks to the netted top (stylists own). See more from the shoot HERE on SteelMachines.

Mod Men in OUT

All I can say is that I am feeling the New Wave vibe--and I am loving it. The tightly fitted Turtle necks by various designers: Prada, Dior, Moschino; the pants by Raf; but the kicker: The boots by Giorgio Brutini. Mod Love. See more HERE on SteelMachines
Photographed for OUT by Giampaolo Sgura

Six Lee--First Collection 2012

Hong Kong-based designer, Six Lee, offers his first collection--We're All In the Dance. While he may design with the more slender of figures in mind, I do enjoy the uber cropped jackets and the layers. See more of the collection as well as a quick interview with Lee HERE on DazedDigital. Along with the great photos featured on DazedDigital, is the vibrantly crafted video below showcasing the Six Lee 2012 collection--video by Frederik Heyman

Dazed Digital stops by Vintage Festival in London

Some folks can simply pull off vintage much better than others. Perhaps it is a state of mind that you need to complete the look--I might find it easier to strap on the suspenders. This look has vintage appeal, but there is definitely something contemporary about it in the details--most likely to do with the great diamond print on the tee. See more from Vintage Festival HERE on DazedDigital.

Juun J Spring 2012

A futuristic cool--lots of angles and color scales--not to mention some very interesting footwear. This from Juun J for the Korean designer's S/S 2012 collection--one of the more exciting collections this season. I'm also enjoying the use of the bracelets on-wrist. See more from the collection HERE on this.hearts.on.fire.

Song for the Mute S/S 2012

I'm enjoying this print from the Song for the Mute S/S 2012 collection. The shot is by Bowen Arico. I am also a sucker for a desert location--or any outdoor location for that matter.  Both the label and photographer are based in Australia. See more from the shoot HERE on Fashionisto.

Baptiste Giabiconi shot by Matthew Brookes

This look--lacy masculinity--is styled by Christian Stroble. Shot by Matthew Brookes. I enjoy the red lace that is picked up in the shoes, and the shot itself is a subtle cool. Almost a Latin, rock-a-billy cross. See more from the spread HERE on Homotography.

Studs and Glass

Shot by Cleon Manz for Deluxx, this shoot entitled "The Wild, the Beautiful, and the Damned" features these two great pieces by Steve Corcoran(mirrored top) and Void of Course (studded vest). Both pieces speak volumes and could cause one pain if worn the wrong way.  See more from the shoot HERE on Morphosis.

Daniele Alessandrini S/S 2011

Daniele Alessandrini offers several degrees of collections, but the one I enjoy the most--due to what I think is great styling--is the Homme collection. Casual and street-wear looks done very nicely. You can see more of the Homme collection HERE on Morphosis and see two more 2011 collections from Alessandrini HERE on his site.

Tim Hamilton for Bergdorf Goodman

Designer Tim Hamilton collaborated with retailer Bergdorf Goodman on a collection to be offered by the retailer very soon. I enjoy Hamilton and this project is no exception. While quite simple--top, pants, boots--the cut, textures, and colors work to create a sense of strength in a minimalistic style. See more of the collection HERE on The Fashionisto
