Walter Van Beirendonck F/W 2013--"Shut Your Eyes to See"

This is my favorite look from Walter Van Beirendonck F/W 2013 collection, "Shut Your Eyes to See." What I enjoy is, of course, the glitter. Yes, it sparkles, but it also has texture and depth. I'm also very curious as to the material of the pants and the shirt: it has somewhat of a vinyl look, or maybe a very soft leather. Perhaps it's an eco-friendly material?  Whatever it may be, I like it; and the overall look is exquisite. See more HERE.

Walter Van Beirendonck S/S 2013--jacket

Looking past (if you wanna) the crazy hat and the socks w/ suspenders--which I happen to think are great--is a jacket I am enjoying from Walter Van Beirendonck's Spring/Summer 2013 collection, "Silent Secrets." The vibrant pink lines are eye-catching, but what I like even more is the use of the patch-like overlays that help create texture. Light, lively, and casual possibilities. Walter Van Beirendonck Fall/Winter 2012

We all know that Belgian designer Walter Van Beirendonck likes to push forward--taking fashion to the most interesting places. That is what he has done once more with his Fall/Winter 2012 collection. He plays with prints and silhouette to give his suits duality. I enjoy the contrast, but wouldn't mind if he had decided to dedicate an entire suit to one of his lively prints--though centering those graphics does add a gravity that pulls you into what is, was, and could be.
