The outlandishly cool footwear is designed by Asher Levine in collaboration with Alpinestars. The kicks were incorporated into the designers F/W 2011 collection which you can see HERE. They are immensely enjoyable--although I would dread scuffing them or hurting someone with them. See more of Levine's fantastical footwear designs HERE.

from Dorian Magazine
From the pages of Dorian comes this story, shot by Enokae--Heretic. What we find is the use of intense accessories (I'm even enjoying the bowl-cut): necklace--silver and mesh, by Fannie Schiavoni; headpiece by Jaiden rva James. Both fantastic. See more of the shoot HERE on YVY.

a warrior inspired shoot by Fernando Mazza
I'm in the mood for some escape, so why not a fantasy of warrior-like proportions and grandeur. That is the inspiration for this shoot by photographer Fernando Mazza with the help of stylists Mauricio Mariano and Alessandro Lazaro. What I'm enjoying most about the story is the accessories--bountiful. I'm inspired to pursue some bounded and belted decadence--and the chain mesh head piece is killer. See more HERE at Fashionisto.

Christian Louboutin's Rollerboys
These cotton made and tartan covered shoes by Christian Louboutin are kicked up to the next level with the addition of silver spiked studs. Good luck wearing them onto an airplane. They do come at a steep price, but the look is striking--and really gets my creative juices flowing.

Simon Spurr--Spring 2012
Simon Spurr has delivered the most enjoyable collection for New York Fashion Week Spring 2012 that I have seen thus far. What I enjoy is the use of mixed materials--creating a vibrancy--and the color striped pieces. Oh--and I cannot leave out the knee high boots. All together, the stripes, mixed materials, and overall sheen create a very Rock&Roll inspired vibe--just check out the cut on the leather jacket. See more of the collection HERE on Fashionisto.

Brian Lichtenberg in UMag August 2011
Shirley Yu photographs pieces by Brian Lichtenberg of L.A. for the sex issue--August 2011-- of UMag: the feature entitled "Summer Time." I'm a fan of the reflective jacket and enjoy the way Lictenberg brings that glimmer to the simplistic structure of a tank. See more HERE on UMag.

J.W. Anderson LENS coat for Topman
The folks at Fashion156 Want "clean, simple, and minimalist" tailoring at the moment, and they suggest this coat designed by J.W. Anderson for LENS, available at Topman. I agree, and enjoy the detailed use of the blunt silver buttons to add interest. See more Fashion156 Wants HERE

Frankie Morello S/S 2012
I enjoy Italian brand, Frankie Morello, for several reasons: it's fun, youthful, and takes risks. I do wonder about the material used in the making of the biker shorts--and I wonder what it would, indeed, be like to wear them all day...However, the idea of pairing these snug shorts with the blazers and dressier shirts, I do like. See more of the collection HERE.

New Romance in 1883 Magazine--"Treu"
Photographer Daniel Roche caught this great shot for 1883 Magazine. Styled by Susanne Marx, the attitude is very New Romantic, but with an edge thanks to the netted top (stylists own). See more from the shoot HERE on SteelMachines.

Mod Men in OUT
All I can say is that I am feeling the New Wave vibe--and I am loving it. The tightly fitted Turtle necks by various designers: Prada, Dior, Moschino; the pants by Raf; but the kicker: The boots by Giorgio Brutini. Mod Love. See more HERE on SteelMachines

David Delfin Rocks Himself
David Delfin in his own creations along with Pelayo Diaz of Kate Loves Me fame. The cut-up suit is simply killer.
Photo by Andreas Ohlund for Cafe
This is a guy who spends lots of time alone--a bit solitary. I enjoy this photo because of its softer side, yet there are dark forces working underneath this pose--defensive yet vulnerable as the wind hits his face. I'm also enjoying the way the coat rests around the sides, and the exposed ankles. Not a pose you see a lot in men's fashion. This was taken by Andreas Öhlund for Café.

Ports 1961--in Ads and in Blue
Inez and Vinoodh deliver ads for the Ports 1961 F/W 2011 collection and I'm enjoying the vintage feel that the pieces give yet with that utter Ports crispness. The accessorizing in the first picture is subtle yet makes an impact with the gloves and moreover the clutch/wallet that is leached at the wrist of the model. I've also had to include another look from the Ports 1961 S/S 2012 collection which features the use of a very vibrant blue as with the ensemble below. See more Ports 1961 HERE and more of the ads HERE on YVY.
