Hair in L’Officiel Hommes Ukraine
What can I say?...There's so much hair here that it makes me wonder if the model is wearing a "bumpit." This is the men's take on the beehive, but even Elvis had nothing on this towered pompadour. Shot by Anton Kovalenko. Grooming done here by Tanya Kalinichenko for L’Officiel Hommes, Ukraine. See the rest HERE on Fashionisto

Dainius Bendikas F/W 2012
Dainius Bendikas is presenting his latest collection for Fall/Winter 2012 as photographed here by Visvaldas Morkevicius. Bendikas is based in Lithuania. What I'm enjoying most about this "lookbook" of sorts is the setting, the other-worldly designs, yet earthy hues and textures--but mostly I enjoy the use of the triangular mask that adds a bit more drama and interest. See more of the shoot HERE on Fashionisto. Bendikas is still working on a website, but you can read more about the young designer HERE on DazedDigital

Rick Day for Coitus--"Dirty Pop"
This is a shoot with lots of fun and lots of colorfully printed underwear and swim wear. Shot by Rick Day for Coitus magazine--it gives me the feeling of a lazy Sunday, lounging comfortably around the apartment manchild style. The story is inspired by POP culture--"Dirty Pop"

Komakino Spring/Summer 2012
Summer comes around, and I'm usually not too thrilled to put on shorts. Yes, they make the heat a lot more sufferable, but I don't care for the look most of the time. However, if I had some of the pieces from husband/wife duo Komakino's S/S 2012 collection, perhaps I wouldn't be so grumpy about the summer prospects. The pieces and looks in the collection definitely have a puck quality, but what I enjoy most is the minimalism, length, and cut of the designs. See more of the collection HERE on Morphosis. You can also check out a video featuring the collection on Komakino's site.

Uniforms for the Dedicated S/S 2012
Swedish brand Uniforms for the Dedicated take to the forest to highlight their new, eco-friendly Spring/Summer collection, "The Blue Cone Colony." It's a beautiful setting, with some mist and fog, that suits the earthy yet refined garments like the smart jacket below--with the blue lapel and inner-sleeves. See more of the collection HERE on This.Hearts.On.Fire.

Baartmans and Siegel
These photos feature pieces from the S/S 2012 "Dust Drifters" collection by the duo of Baartmans and Siegel. What gets my eye first is the bright orange hair, of course. But what I enjoy most about the lookbook shots is the styling: utilizing the scarf to hint at head-dress with a Eurasian--or actually, maybe AFRICAN flare. They are just striking shots. The team then take the blend of cultures further with the campaign look for the same collection--this time covering the model in gold dust. See more of the "Dust Drifters" lookbook HERE on Morphosis. Check out the collection as seen on the runway HERE. Also, below is the runway video of Baartmans and Siegel's latest A/W 2012 collection "Milk Tray Man"
