This coat is worn by the lucky Style Salvage gent, designed by Baartsman and Siegel for their AW 2012 collection "Milk Tray Man." Of course, the color is what I enjoy the most as I'm magnetically attracted to blue. But I am also enjoying the silver zippers. In fact, I don't believe I've seen a zipper up the front of a long coat like it is here; particularly how it stops at the bottom of the collar--very cool and ever so slightly asymmetric.

Mohsin Ali Autumn/Winter 2012
I always enjoy a graphic that is used smartly. That is what Mohsin Ali has done with his AW12 collection. Inspired by Bauhaus design ideals, his collection utilizes a strong triangle as the starting point for this experiment in prints. I think it works wonderfully on the coat below. See more HERE on Style Salvage along with a great write-up and quotes from the designer, himself.

"Little" Car bracelet, JAPAN
This is just fun. But I think I will have mine with black and silver coupes and sports cars. I used to love playing with my matchbox "little" cars--this is a way to carry it into adulthood!! Sweet! This bracelet is by Erika Walton for her Alter Ego line HERE.
This look and pic come to us from the streets of Japan via Style Salvage.

the Alani Sweatshirt project
What's it about a sweatshirt?--the casualness of them, comfort...Personally, I haven't worn a full-on sweatshirt in a long time--just hoodies and zip-ups. However, I do enjoy these pieces from Alani: a part of the sweatshirt project by Korean designer Jae Hwan Kim. Read more about the project and the latest Alani collection HERE on StyleSalvage.

Braille Fall/Winter 2011
I've been enjoying the work from design duo Braille since last year. Their latest collection-Our Damn Hands-keeps the ride going-a balance between a strong, yet slightly vulnerable, masculinity. See the collection in the video below and read about the team in an interview with StyleSalvage HERE.
