Jil Sander, with Raf Simons' designs, gave a show in a beautiful Florentine garden as part of the Pitti Uomo going on now in Florence. The show was webcasted live and was great--the colors against the natural setting did create some electricity. I am actually very surprised to see such intense colors from the label. But I enjoyed mostly the details: like the blue and pink on the bottom of the shoes or the sashes on the backs of jackets. Below are some shots from the live webcast--but I hope some professional photos will be available soon. I just couldn't wait to post some of my favorite designs and looks from the show. If you missed the show, you can catch it HERE for now...

Giant Boots in Varon Magazine
These GIANT boots were photographed by Randall Bachner for Varon Magazine. They look like space or ski boots. So large, I had to post. See the full shoot HERE on YVY.

Riviera Club takes a trip to the Mountains
Riviera Club--what does it suggest? Vacation. While this lookbook story takes us to the mountains instead of the sea, I'm in. Clothes for a classic mountain getaway. The smell of leaves and crisp autumn air. Pics from Definitive Touch HERE.

Akihito Hira Winter 2010 Lookbook
Akihito Hira's Winter Collection 2010
What I'm enjoying is the casual use of the bow-tie and the diagonal fly for the pants.

Le Lin Tiffany Tang--recent Fashion Graduate
It is graduation time again, and Le Lin Tiffany Tang created a fantastic collection. The newly graduated Tang was influenced by the novel "Crash" (also made into a Cronenberg film) for this collection as she thought about the body and metal. I've been attracted to metals in clothing recently and am happy to see this collection. I want a copper breasted jacket myself. You can read an interview with Tang on Style Savage HERE.
Vintage Louis Vuitton Bag
This bag needs to be reproduced. Can I get it from anywhere? I'll make it myself. The graphic is what I love so much. This Louis Vuitton bag was photographed by The Selby as he visited the Vuitton home and factory. If there were straps on the other side, it would make a nice back-pack/bicycle bag. Classic.

Aline & Jacqueline Tappia--Photographers
From photographing siblings, Aline and Jacqueline Tappia. There's always somewhat of a twist to their work--a little something unexpected and fresh. Full spread HERE at Fashionisto. The glasses remind me of the style the musician--I believe Thomas Dolby--sported in the 80's.

A/P.C. Summer & Autumn 2010
I like to feel scholarly sometimes--Perhaps I am the perpetual student. Aren't we all forever students of life? Anyhow, many looks by A.P.C. make me wanna read. I also feel that the clothes are so simple and classically designed that they are forever in style. The looks and pieces here are from the APC Autumn 2010 collection and the Summer collection. Check out the A.P.C. website for the Lookbook. There are details that I enjoy including the little silver clasp on the blue pants or the blank patches on the Jumpsuit or the bow-tie with those pants or the buttons on the shoulder of a sweater--and the pea-coat is just sharp.

"92 In The Shade:" Fantasticsmag
Fantasticsmag offers us "92 In The Shade" by Nikolai Devera featuring swimwear worn in the scorching heat--including this piece by Vizeau. They call this design the "racer," I guess due to the stripe.

Those Thieving Birds: Of The Moda
From Of The Moda is this shoot entitled "Those Thieving Birds." Great visual with this shot despite it looking a bit "touched" and reminiscent of Brandon Flowers--but I like Mr. Flowers.
