The folks at Fashion156 Want "clean, simple, and minimalist" tailoring at the moment, and they suggest this coat designed by J.W. Anderson for LENS, available at Topman. I agree, and enjoy the detailed use of the blunt silver buttons to add interest. See more Fashion156 Wants HERE

Frankie Morello S/S 2012
I enjoy Italian brand, Frankie Morello, for several reasons: it's fun, youthful, and takes risks. I do wonder about the material used in the making of the biker shorts--and I wonder what it would, indeed, be like to wear them all day...However, the idea of pairing these snug shorts with the blazers and dressier shirts, I do like. See more of the collection HERE.

New Romance in 1883 Magazine--"Treu"
Photographer Daniel Roche caught this great shot for 1883 Magazine. Styled by Susanne Marx, the attitude is very New Romantic, but with an edge thanks to the netted top (stylists own). See more from the shoot HERE on SteelMachines.

Mod Men in OUT
All I can say is that I am feeling the New Wave vibe--and I am loving it. The tightly fitted Turtle necks by various designers: Prada, Dior, Moschino; the pants by Raf; but the kicker: The boots by Giorgio Brutini. Mod Love. See more HERE on SteelMachines

David Delfin Rocks Himself
David Delfin in his own creations along with Pelayo Diaz of Kate Loves Me fame. The cut-up suit is simply killer.
Photo by Andreas Ohlund for Cafe
This is a guy who spends lots of time alone--a bit solitary. I enjoy this photo because of its softer side, yet there are dark forces working underneath this pose--defensive yet vulnerable as the wind hits his face. I'm also enjoying the way the coat rests around the sides, and the exposed ankles. Not a pose you see a lot in men's fashion. This was taken by Andreas Öhlund for Café.

Aloha Rag's AR F/W 2011
Creating pieces that blend with the items bought for the retail arm of Aloha Rag, buyer/designer Tatsugo Yoda's latest AR collection hits the mark offering simple, streamlined looks for everyday wear. Check out the Lookbook below. I'm enjoying the geeky swagger of it all. Source: the Fashinisto

Ports 1961--in Ads and in Blue
Inez and Vinoodh deliver ads for the Ports 1961 F/W 2011 collection and I'm enjoying the vintage feel that the pieces give yet with that utter Ports crispness. The accessorizing in the first picture is subtle yet makes an impact with the gloves and moreover the clutch/wallet that is leached at the wrist of the model. I've also had to include another look from the Ports 1961 S/S 2012 collection which features the use of a very vibrant blue as with the ensemble below. See more Ports 1961 HERE and more of the ads HERE on YVY.

Pudel A/W 2011
I'm enjoying the pairing of the heavier sweater with the skinny jeans, seen here with looks from the latest pieces by Pudel of the UK. The color work on the black and green denim is nice as is the layering done with the cropped jacket and grey top. See more from Pudel HERE on theFashionisto.

AMI--Spring 2012
When I first saw a couple looks from the AMI Spring 2012 collection, I had this intense sensation that everything would be alright. Pretensions aside--these are clothes that you can actually wear, feel comfortable in, but without having to give up on a sense of creativity in dress. I think the line, so far, seems to live up to the credo of "real clothes for real men." While these pics find models like Nicolas Ripoll wearing Ami pieces, the wears are truly for an everyday man--or I might say a guy who likes his clothes to work and speak for themselves without him having to fret over them so much, leaving room for other pursuits. Ami is a new line from designer Alexandre Mattiussi.

Uncommon Creatures S/S 2012
The last collection for Uncommon Creatures gave us gypsy inspired creations. For the Spring/Summer 2012 collection, Uncommon Creatures looks to the Pathan people of the Afghan and Pakistani mountains. Of course, such lives are spent--a great deal--outdoors. I'm enjoying the setting for the lookbook images as well as the draped head dresses and turban hats (created by hand by Mathilde Forster). See and read more HERE on this.hearts.on.fire.

Six Lee--First Collection 2012
Hong Kong-based designer, Six Lee, offers his first collection--We're All In the Dance. While he may design with the more slender of figures in mind, I do enjoy the uber cropped jackets and the layers. See more of the collection as well as a quick interview with Lee HERE on DazedDigital. Along with the great photos featured on DazedDigital, is the vibrantly crafted video below showcasing the Six Lee 2012 collection--video by Frederik Heyman

Dris Van Noten Jacket
Glorious embellishment with this jacket by Dries Van Noten. I enjoy the contrast between the gold embellishment on top of a simple, light-weight zip-up. They have managed to make the look come off as unique, cool, but without being garrish. See more HERE on Selectism.

Dazed Digital stops by Vintage Festival in London
Some folks can simply pull off vintage much better than others. Perhaps it is a state of mind that you need to complete the look--I might find it easier to strap on the suspenders. This look has vintage appeal, but there is definitely something contemporary about it in the details--most likely to do with the great diamond print on the tee. See more from Vintage Festival HERE on DazedDigital.
