Marta Torres is evidently a student of Spanish designer, Ana Locking. This collection is the product of the class. But what I enjoy most is the collar on several of the tops. The accentuation via the choker-like piece is nice and it even looks as if the collar itself is detachable. The overall effect of the collection is one of a painterly, abstract take on a contemporary reflection on what a 60's vision of the future might have looked like. For me, I am a fan of the top button done-up with a piece of strong jewelry to highlight and embellish the conservative gesture. See more of Marta Torres' collection HERE.

"Brr Rogers"
All about the hair--hair envy you might say. You see, unfortunately, it's so hard to get such a sharp and edged look with curly hair like mine.
This shoot was done by Steve Marais and Marco Riekstins (Manofthecloth) for Homotography.

Mr. Schreyer by Philip Gay
Like cleansing the palette, the white pieces in these two brilliant b/w shots by Philip Gay calm the eye. Roberto Cavalli shirt; Marc Jacobs pants--styled by Nik Piras. Model, Werner Schreyer gives some interesting poses--channeling a bit of James Dean, perhaps. See more of the shoot HERE on SteelMachines

Los Vladimirovich Spring/Summer 2013
Los Vladimirovich--a collective fashion house--gives us their S/S 2013 collection featuring these jackets that I enjoy very much. The cropped jacket paired with the suspenders has the military vibe I like while the architectural details of the zip-up are engaging, almost like origami folds of paper. And the double zipper is a nice surprise. Both pieces have a positive stiffness representing a constructed strength--strong yet easy to wear. See more HERE.

"Parure" by Alice Rosati--Citizen K
I'm a fan of regalia and it is being served up big time--all about the jewels--in this shot entitled "Parure" from Alice Rosati for Citizen K International. I'm enjoying these two looks that offer ostentatious strength. Styled by Jerome André. See more HERE on before you kill us all
"Who Shall I Say Is Calling?" by Fred Jacobs
It took me forever to remember who made this dinner jacket--It's from Alexander McQueen's S/S 2012 collection. I enjoy the way it has been incorporated into the story, shot by Fred Jacobs for 7th Man Magazine. It's a story of religion, and the flames fit so well. See more HERE on FuckingYoung!

Shopping in Milan with Marcelo Burton
Take a shopping trip with Marcelo Burton in Milan as he visits several of his favorite shops demonstrating a diverse range of styles. I am just realizing that I recently posted about Burton's T-Shirt collection--this video gives a bit more depth about the man behind the designs including his thoughts on the economics of fashion (pricey shirts) and global style sensibilities.

Carlo Pignatelli Spring/Summer 2013--500th Post!
This is the 500th post for ViktorMan and I think it fitting that this post features the latest collection from Carlo Pignatelli as presented during Milan's fashion week. The collection speaks to much of what I enjoy when it comes to fashion--decadance, fun, texture, a touch of the exotic (in this case a nod toward South Asian flavors), and a nice glint with a little swagger. I enjoy looks and pieces that present a story--a story I can envision myself within. In the case of Carlo Pignatelli's Spring/Summer 2013 collection, that story fits very nicely within my regal inclinations. Yet, it is done, not in a stuffy way, but with a freshness and virile vitality. I look forward to another 500 inspiring, aspiration-sparking impressionistic moments in men's fashion.
See more of Carlo Pignatelli's S/S 2013 collection HERE on Homotography. Also, be sure to check out the video of the runway presentation below. Enjoy!

Twenty (2) Too--Spring/Summer 2013
Twenty (2) too--it's about being young and free to take risks. What I find most interesting about this show, which was a part of the Romanian designer's show @ Berlin Fashion week, is the accessorizing. It seems Twenty (2) too teamed with Carla Szabo to deliver some tribal flare. I'm enjoying the look toward Africa for inspiration. See more HERE on FuckingYoung!

Jacket by John Richmond
There is a coolness to John Richmond's designs, and a richness--as with the ornate detail added across the chest of the jacket below. What's nice about such a piece is that it can be dressed up and made very lavish--as seen in the shot by Saverio Cardia below, styled by Lucio Colapietro--or it can be styled more casually suave like in the runway pic. See more of Cardia's shoot HERE on Fashionisto.

Christopher Kane Spring 2013
The first time I say Christopher Kane's Spring 2013 collection I pretty much glanced over it. Perhaps I wasn't in a good mood, or something. Whatever the case, taking a second look recently, I am pleased by the designer's playfulness. In fact, seeing the Chelsea boots made me happier. What would make them even better--above and beyond the vibrant patch of color--would be the option to swap out multiple colors on the boot's side panels. I'm also enjoying the brush strokes used on the button up and tank--you can even find the strokes used on swimming gear. See more of the collection HERE on Style.com with a blurb from Tim Blanks.

Marcelo Burlon--County of Milan T-Shirt collection
Marcelo Burlon travels a lot and has an eclectic background--this has been fused into a collection of t-shirts. Burlon says, "I like the idea of putting together iconographic elements from different cultures that are related to me." I, for one, enjoy the richness of the images. See more of the County of Milan T-Shirt collection HERE. Learn more about Marcelo Burlon HERE in a DazedDigital interview. You can also check-out Burlon's blog HERE.

Miansai by Michael Saiger S/S 2013
I do enjoy jewelry and other accessories that are created from/or mimic non-traditional materials. (I've taken to wearing a double-sided chain clip as a bow-tie.) That is why I am drown to the pieces done by Michael Saiger for his Miansai collections. They feature metallics, leathers, ropes, and bungees--as seen in the pieces below. Asher Levine Spring/Summer 2013
Cruise is the name given to the latest collection by Asher Levine. And this is my favorite look from his lookbook--very dark antihero. The "hero" effect is created by a piece Levine has designed that is more-or-less an extra-extra-long shirt but with split tails. See more of the lookbook at Levine's site HERE.
Look from Lonely Robot in a Wasteland
Great look from Lonely Robot in a Wasteland blogger. I enjoy the metallic hint on the shirt collar--Zara--and the belt and sunglasses help round out the leisurely traveler feel. See more details and snapshots of the look HERE.

Les Garcons Spring/Summer 2013
I'm enjoying the cut on the underwear and swimsuits seen in the Les Garcons Spring/Summer 2013 collection--they look comfy and add a slight look of curvature and volume/accentuation. The collection really does seem to be about being comfortable but style conscious. It makes me wanna lounge, cocktail in hand, by a nice cool pool all day. While it is interesting to see lounge wear in an outdoor setting, it looks to have been a fun show--pompadour do's and all. There's even a jumpsuit. See more of the collection HERE on NYMag.com

Paul Smith Spring/Summer 2013
The Paul Smith Spring/Summer 2013 collection has much to offer including prints and more pastel toned colored suits and jackets--very classic cuts. Two of the pieces I enjoy the most are these biker jackets as paired with these great pants. A great look is seen here with the simple white buttoned shirt set behind the pink and red hues along w/ the boots below (not as keen on the strapped loafer). See more of the collection HERE on Fashionisto.
