From Seoul Fashion Week comes looks from the A/W collection of MVIO designed by Sang Hyuk Han. These are some of the pieces and looks I am enjoying the most--particularly the color blocked coat and sweater. The show also included an array of aprons like the one below with the idea of covering up what you don't want to show. But I want to see more of these pieces! Saint Augustine Academy is a label out of Australia with an influence coming heavily from the music scene. You should definitely check out their website--featuring videos inspired by pieces in each collection. Siki Im Fall/Winter 2011

I hesitated to post on Siki Im a couple weeks back when I first saw his collection, but the more I am confronted with these looks--at least these particular photos--the more I haven't been deterred from my initial reaction: these are such striking looks all around--from the tip-top of the feather on the hat and down. While the pieces in-and-of-themselves may be interesting, it is the combination and the overall look that I am fascinated by. I can't put my finger on it: it's a familiar edge. Could it simply be the hat? I just enjoy the oddity of it. It's been referred to as "American Gothic."  See more on VMan's list of best of NY fashion week HERE.

Max by Rokas Rach and Liam Warwick

Model, Max Cocking is photographed here by Rokas Rach and Liam Warwick, originally done for Shalom&Shwmae blog HERE back in June.  Max was styled by Adam Chan, and I am enjoying the use of the copper band/belt--just like something you might find in the plumbing aisle at the hardware shop, but with notches and some other fine details. Braille Fall/Winter 2011

I've been enjoying the work from design duo Braille since last year. Their latest collection-Our Damn Hands-keeps the ride going-a balance between a strong, yet slightly vulnerable, masculinity. See the collection in the video below and read about the team in an interview with StyleSalvage HERE.

Ben Cope for SkinGraft

Daniele Alessandrini S/S 2011

Daniele Alessandrini offers several degrees of collections, but the one I enjoy the most--due to what I think is great styling--is the Homme collection. Casual and street-wear looks done very nicely.
