Nella Balda for The Fashionisto

Last Winter by Nella Balda features model Thomas Hoefnagels and this great D&G blazer, aside from the nice snowy setting and the icy hair. See more HERE on Fashionisto.

MVIO by Sang Hyuk Han--A/W 11

From Seoul Fashion Week comes looks from the A/W collection of MVIO designed by Sang Hyuk Han. These are some of the pieces and looks I am enjoying the most--particularly the color blocked coat and sweater. The show also included an array of aprons like the one below with the idea of covering up what you don't want to show. But I want to see more of these pieces! See more and read a short interview with Han HERE on DazedDigital.

GQ Russia--Black and White

Like Black and White troopers--GQ Russia featuring this dichotomy of pieces including this enjoyable juxtaposition. I'm enjoying the almost uniform like quality to the looks and the boots, of course. See more of this shoot by Richard Phibbs, HERE on YVY.

Two Fine Shots

The Fashionisto posted two spreads: one by Krzysztof Herholdt and the other from Dusan Jaukovic. I'm enjoying a photo captured by each. Herholdt offers this moment of exuberance in the dunes and Jaukovic this portrait of neo-tribal nobility. See more HERE and HERE from Fashionisto.

Jacky Suharto with styling by Shinta Handamari

Jacky Suharto with styling by Shinta Handamari:
I'm enjoying the two toned shirt ( and the blue/grey tone of the photo itself) and these great pants--how they secure at the ankles.

Saint Augustine Academy

Saint Augustine Academy is a label out of Australia with an influence coming heavily from the music scene. You should definitely check out their website--featuring videos inspired by pieces in each collection. I'm enjoying the boots featured in these looks from their current F/W 2011 collection--cool tee, shirt, and jacket too. See more HERE on Definitive Touch.

Wtaps in Common&Sense

Photographed by Thomas Cooksey for Common&Sense, I am enjoying this look featuring pieces from Japanese label Wtaps, as styled by Yasuhiro Takehisa, for the innovative use of suspenders. See more HERE on YVY.

Siki Im Fall/Winter 2011

I hesitated to post on Siki Im a couple weeks back when I first saw his collection, but the more I am confronted with these looks--at least these particular photos--the more I haven't been deterred from my initial reaction: these are such striking looks all around--from the tip-top of the feather on the hat and down. While the pieces in-and-of-themselves may be interesting, it is the combination and the overall look that I am fascinated by. I can't put my finger on it: it's a familiar edge. Could it simply be the hat? I just enjoy the oddity of it. It's been referred to as "American Gothic."  See more on VMan's list of best of NY fashion week HERE.

Omar Kashoura Mac

Omar Kashoura is a British designer with Arabic heritage. This mac is a piece from his Spring 2011 collection. What's most enjoyable about it is the fact that it is reversible--and nicely so. See more of the collection HERE on Kashoura's site. Read what Selectism has to say about the coat HERE.

Max by Rokas Rach and Liam Warwick

Model, Max Cocking is photographed here by Rokas Rach and Liam Warwick, originally done for Shalom&Shwmae blog HERE back in June.  Max was styled by Adam Chan, and I am enjoying the use of the copper band/belt--just like something you might find in the plumbing aisle at the hardware shop, but with notches and some other fine details. It's a very interesting piece. See more at YVY HERE.

Braille Fall/Winter 2011

I've been enjoying the work from design duo Braille since last year. Their latest collection-Our Damn Hands-keeps the ride going-a balance between a strong, yet slightly vulnerable, masculinity. See the collection in the video below and read about the team in an interview with StyleSalvage HERE.

Ben Cope for SkinGraft

Ben Cope has worked with Skin Graft before. However, what I enjoy about this work done for the brand's latest lookbook, is the silvery sallow look of the models skin and hair--Anderson Cooper to the extreme. See more HERE on Fashionisto. Check out Cope's site HERE.

Daniele Alessandrini S/S 2011

Daniele Alessandrini offers several degrees of collections, but the one I enjoy the most--due to what I think is great styling--is the Homme collection. Casual and street-wear looks done very nicely. You can see more of the Homme collection HERE on Morphosis and see two more 2011 collections from Alessandrini HERE on his site.
