ODDA Magazine #1

London based magazine ODDA has put out its first issue and is available across Europe. This is the first spread I have seen from the magazine, but I am immensely enjoying the mask and crown seen below. They are stunning and I want my own. I have a feeling that the pieces might've been made by the stylists, David Martín & María Ruz, but I could be wrong. Regardless, I see a project in store for myself. The crosses are great, but what's even better are the confessional screen references (in the mask) and the thorny metals that adorn and constitute the crown. Auslander S/S 2013

From Brazil, label Auslander presents some glimmering details as part of their Spring/Summer 2013 collection, including Prince Pelayo (of KateLovesMe fame, of course) walking the runway. Actually, the styling and feel of many of the looks reminds me much of Pelayo's own style--not sure if there is any connection. It's a very bright, young, and slightly edgy collection--the overall styling is what gives it life. My favorite piece might just be the golden shorts below. I also enjoy the metallic details on the collars as well as the crystalline accessories. See more of the collection, including Pelayo, HERE on Fucking Young?

Nuno Gama S/S 12 Swimwear

From Portugal comes Nuno Gama's swimwear for his Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Gama definitely pushes masculinity to the max--check out this collection--but with a slight eccentricity and some great details. I'm enjoying the muliti-colored, geometric shapes used to create these trunks. See more HERE on Morphosis.

Kenzo vs Vans sneakers

Kenzo+Vans=Play. Kenzo recently collaborated with Vans, offering their iconic mesh print in a variety of colors and combinations. These are some of my favorites--Ima blue junkie. The Kenzo website is great, btw, and you should check it out. It's very lively, and actually makes me very happy (if that can be said about a website). They also have a fantastically curated blog. See more of the Kenzo x Vans sneakers HERE on Fucking Young!
You can grab a pair of your own from Opening Ceremony

TEQUILA SUNRISE--Out Mag

Summer Decadence. What I wouldn't give to walk around a private island in my very own Tom Ford robe and a nice pair of Dior Homme unders. See the rest of this spread shot by Dean Isidro and styled by Grant Woolhead for Out HERE via SteelMachines

"Little" Car bracelet, JAPAN

This is just fun. But I think I will have mine with black and silver coupes and sports cars. I used to love playing with my matchbox "little" cars--this is a way to carry it into adulthood!! Sweet! This bracelet is by Erika Walton for her Alter Ego line HERE.
This look and pic come to us from the streets of Japan via Style Salvage.

A Thousand Hundred Degrees--Fashionisto

This Fashionisto exclusive spread features the work of photographer Javi Dardo with stylist Débora Traitè.
The look is all American Apparel. I'm enjoying the vintage feel with help from the glasses--Summer is almost here, indeed.

John Cavanagh 1950's

Going back in time...

John Cavanagh was a British designer whom launched his eponymous label in 1952. This video clip features footage shot around that time of a swimwear show. I'm enjoying several of the looks--particularly the last striped number. But what I find fantastic is the fact that he featured a nail studded belt at the time--never would have thought...in the 50's!...Anyway, enjoy!

Neon Jacket by Maria Escote

Maria Escote is a designer that doesn't usually hold back...thankfully. The results: an eye-catching biker that departs from the typical (black). Color on!

Jeremy Scott by Luca Finotti--video

I've watched this video several times without the music--on mute--and am completely taken in. It's so engrossing. Why no music? I guess I figure there is enough going on visually without the added distraction. I just don't think I've seen the use of horizontal edits in such a way--and the colors...It seems to me to be a perfect marriage of image, medium, and edit--ripe for online consumption. Of course, the Jeremy Scott designs give it that extra bit of flavor, but Luca Finotti has really created an eye catching clip with this video.

Zero_Underscore zip-away

This multi-functional jacket (longer/shorter) can be adjusted via zipper. I happen to enjoy the "partially-zipped" look as seen below. All the pieces in the latest Zero_Underscore collection are sharp. See more HERE on Fashionisto.

Black Means Spring/Summer 2012

Tokyo label, Black Means, has an edge and a DIY aesthetic that has been evolving since its founding in 2005. Their forte is the leather bike jackets, as seen below (notice the great color). But I am excited by the accessories for the legs--the knee and shin covers with a samurai/cyber-punk vibe. See more of the current collection HERE on Selectism. You can also read more about Black Means and see a bit more of their pieces HERE on CVLTnation
