Backlash by Isamu Katayama

From Osaka, Japan comes Backlash by designer Isamu Katayama. I'm enjoying the jackets, of course, but what I find more interesting and appealing is the cropped length pants with the boots--an alternative to shorts with more of a bite. See more of the Backlash Spring 2012 collection HERE on Fashionisto

Void Of Course--AW 11-12

This slick number comes from the A/W 11-12 collection by Void of Course. The collection is entitled "Impossibility of Love." This look gives a hint as to why this name might be most fitting--The codpiece is spiked and ready for a night out on the town. See more from the collection HERE at the VoC site. Photo is by Mari Sarai in London

ASOS Suits

Adrian C. from London enjoys his affordable ASOS suits. I must say, I too enjoy the looks. I like affordability--but as this "guy from London" shows, value doesn't mean you have to sacrifice the "expensiveness" of the look.

Men in Italy: Milano Portfolio

Men in Italy have put together this great Milano Portfolio featuring some great looks and great photography. Flip thru the portfolio below. I'm enjoying this jumper below photographed by Saverio Cardia.  See more from Cardia's shoot HERE on Homotography

Milan Fashion Week--Moncler Gamme Bleu Spring 2012

It was recently fashion week in Milan and I must say that I believe that the most enjoyable show--most interesting--seems to have been, perhaps, Thom Browne's work for Moncler Gamme Bleu SS 2012. The interest could have been due in part to the fencing motif--regardless, many of the sporting pieces are very enjoyable. My favorites are below including the use of stripes, blue, the hang of the longer jackets, and the fantatic short jacket with the side zips and beige pants. See more of the Collection HERE and definitely check out Fashionisto for all of the Milan Fashion Week collections.

Charlie by Matthew Zink--Swimwear

Designer Matthew Zink has recently created his take on Swimwear with his CHARLIE label. The idea is to bring some allure, and a touch of glamor, back to swimwear--resulting in a fresh, yet semi-retro style. Check out Zink's site HERE for more from his collections. You can also check out the spread featuring "Charlie" on Fantasticsmag HERE with photos by SOPHIE KINACHTCHOUK.

Enzo Mondejar--Photographer

This enchanting shot is by Enzo Mondejar featuring model Düane Stagoll and pieces from label Paradigm Shift. What I enjoy about this shot is the movement seen via the wind and the almost geisha or kabuki like makeup on the model--giving a whimsical flare. See more of the story HERE on Fashionisto

Monitaly SS 2012

Make a statement in this jacket from Monitaly's S/S 2012 collection. I can't look away from the color and pattern--vibrantly engaging. See more from the collection HERE on Selectism

Kenzie Roth by Timothy Rosado

Enjoying this jacket--cut just at the waist with double-sided zipped pockets--great look. See more of this shoot featuring model Kenzie Roth shot by Timothy Rosado HERE on YVY.

Vizeau Sportswear

From Vizeau comes a black and tight sportwear look. But what I enjoy most is what I think is a interesting combo of pairing the skin tight sportswear with boots. See more from the Vizeau Pre-Fall 2011 collection HERE on YVY. Photo by Michael Ching

830 Sign Fall 2011

830 Sign enlists photographer Alvaro Beamud Cortes to shoot some looks from their Fall 2011 collection. This collection is very knit oriented. I'm enjoying the texture and color of the first sweater--almost snakelike in design. And I like the length of the second piece. See more HERE on Fashionisto

"Just a City Boy" in Étoilee

Photographer Faye Sampson shot model James Cox for Étoilee magazine: the shoot, "Just a City Boy, " was styled by Aliya Zaidi offers a scene of British accessorizing with suspenders and boots--very suedehead--and lots of Topman pieces and these great ASOS boots. Enjoying the hair here too. See more HERE on Fashionisto.

Max Chernitsov SS 2011 Man

Max Chernitsov is just cool--his designs offer moments of understated extravagance, and he is not afraid to take some risks. I enjoy the Eurasian vibe I get from his SS11 collection--many of the gold details, particularly the lapels, remind me of seaweed papers dipped in gold; not to mention the styling of the jacket paired with the billowing pants (almost skirt like). The floral inspired cut-outs on the tanks are also nice--offering a soft masculinity and contrast to the more somber hues.

A taste of military flare seen in this jacket worn by Alban Adam--enjoying the heavy braid on the shoulder.

the Alani Sweatshirt project

What's it about a sweatshirt?--the casualness of them, comfort...Personally, I haven't worn a full-on sweatshirt in a long time--just hoodies and zip-ups. However, I do enjoy these pieces from Alani: a part of the sweatshirt project by Korean designer Jae Hwan Kim. Read more about the project and the latest Alani collection HERE on StyleSalvage.
