Baartsman and Siegel Blue Coat

This coat is worn by the lucky Style Salvage gent, designed by Baartsman and Siegel for their AW 2012 collection "Milk Tray Man." Of course, the color is what I enjoy the most as I'm magnetically attracted to blue. But I am also enjoying the silver zippers. In fact, I don't believe I've seen a zipper up the front of a long coat like it is here; particularly how it stops at the bottom of the collar--very cool and ever so slightly asymmetric.

Kobayashi for White Zinfandel magazine No. 3

Takeru Kobayashi--competitive eating champ--is definitely full of himself; well, in this case, maybe he is full of grapes as he glutinously devours food of the gods while in the character of a emperor in this faux trailer for the latest issue of White Zinfandel magazine: bridging food and art, provoking thought. Novel concept. This issue is based around the notion of "Food Fights." What I'm thinking is how much I love the golden pants emperor Kobayashi is wearing. Check them out in the food crazy video below. Styled by Mark Hsu.

"Fascist Fashion" by Joe Lally, styled by Jean Luc Francaise

For all those who might have a leather fetish, this shoot is for you. Styled by Jean Luc Francaise, Joe Lally photographs a leather-clad fascist story entitled "Fascist Fashion." But really, this is a story about leather fetish and those who love the lifestyle--or at least try it on for size every now and then. What I enjoy the most about the shoot is the underwear featuring leather straps with buckles on the sides. If you're gonna do it, go all the way: leather, head-to-toe and below. See more HERE on Homotography.

Bill Cunningham for NYTimes Style

The "peacock is out of his cage" according to Bill Cunningham--offering some education and opinion about some current trends in fashion. I am not particularly fond of the loose shorts and tighter legging and/or pants underneath; nor am I all that crazy about the "bubble" forms. I do enjoy a more streamlined look. However, I am all for self-expression and breaking from standards of conformity, even if that entails looking back to traditional dress of the 1600's: as long as it's a nob back, but with a forward twist. Educate yourself on the street w/ Bill!

"Ceremony" styled by Sebastian Machado

Too cool! Can't help but enjoy the Postpunk/NewWave Militant vibe in this spread entitled "Ceremony," styled for Cover Man by Sebastian Machado.

Artis Stamguts F/W 2013 "DNA"

Dress your underwear up just a bit--why not?! I love the embellishment and interest Artis Stamguts adds to his designs. It can be seen in the underwear below. But I also enjoy Stamguts' accessory designs for the same reason. Anyone who can take woven belt straps and create a killer piece is a talent, in my book. Check out the creativity and the rest of the DNA F/W 2013 collection HERE on his site.

"Kings Never Die" in DSECTION MAG

Dress like a prince. I can't help my gravitation toward the regal. I do enjoy the Indian/South Asian Maharaja tilt in this spread--"Kings Never Die"--for Dsection Magazine. This Portuguese publication bills itself as "The first and only Portuguese fashion magazine dedicated entirely and exclusively to men" See the rest of the shots by Nicolas Valois on Morphosis.

Txema Yeste shoots Tony Ward for Antidote magazine

Oh, the bondage! This is almost exactly what I had in mind to wear during my next show. I was thinking a chain, crossed on chest, with flowers through the links: hard meets soft. What a great shot by Txema Yeste for Antidote magazine. The second, Tony Ward lounging. See more of the shoot HERE on Fashionisto

Brian Geradts Fall/Winter 2012 via FuckingYoung!

The setting is beautiful, but what I enjoy more about this video, featuring the designs of Brian Geradts, is the long sleeveless jacket and the silver, shimmering pants. The jacket is below: check out the shoulders--the sharp edge is what I'm drawn to most. The pants you can see in the video along with the killer scenery of the Maltese Islands. Check it out below. See it all HERE on FuckingYoung!

Christopher Kane in Wonderland Magazine

What I enjoyed the most about Christopher Kane's S/S 2013 collection was the really cool graphic used throughout. You can really get a sense for how vivid and engaging the print is with this shot by Jeff Hahn for Wonderland Magazine featuring a top and underwear by Kane. See the rest of the shoot HERE on Fashionisto.

Mark Rabadan for FuckingYoung!

One of my favorite things: being over-the-top. That's exactly what I am enjoying about this spread; Or, rather, the pieces that push it over the edge. Featuring a trio of amazing designers, BodyBound, Martine Rose, and KTZ, photographer Mark Rabadan captures a ton of cool, with styling by Hirohito Egusa  for FuckingYoung! See it  HERE.
I'm enjoying the studded shirt by BodyBound, with its great pattern, the most.

Scott Hoover for FantasticsMag

This is an image shot by Scott Hoover for FantasticsMag. Entitled "Glamour Boy," the story, this shot in particular, reminds me of something one--I--might do on a slow day, hanging around the house: being a bit indulgent, narcissistic, playful. Of course, boots are always great when worn with underwear. And the belt with just a touch of bling makes it even cooler. See more of the shoot HERE on Fantastics Mag.

Bvlgari Serpenti Collection

This is a great piece around the collar of the Prada shirt: a Bvlgari Serpenti collection necklace. The Italian jeweler has taken the symbol of the snake and used it in some very opulent designs. See more of this shoot by Carlotta Manaigo HERE on FuckingYoung!

Dressed Undressed Spring/Summer 2013 behind-the-scenes

Tokyo Dandy caught these great behind-the-scenes shots of the Dressed Undressed Spring/Summer 2013 show and collection. I enjoy the little touches, and the bits of chain glimmer on the wrist, and even across the chest, are very welcomed. See more of the shots HERE on Tokyo Dandy and more of the collection HERE from the designer's site.

Matthew Miller Spring/Summer 2013: CCTV on the Runway

I enjoy the print so much that I decided to post this suit by Matthew Miller for his S/S 2013 collection again--well, in a way. This is the complete suit; I posted just the jacket previously. What I find so cool about the print is that Miller has captured the images he then manipulates for the fabric from closed-circuit tv cams around London. You might as well check out the runway show, too: video below.

Lidija Kolovrat Spring/Summer 2013

Lidija Kolovrat is a designer who is not afraid of graphics and strong prints. From Bosnia to Portugal, she is a designer that crosses borders. I'm enjoying the graphics on this suit because it has a haphazard, street graffiti, paint-splotched feel, but crossed with a structure that is almost data gridded--like number sequences. I am also a big fan of the Chelsea boots with the panel of blue. And I never get sick of a jumpsuit. See more of the Lidija Kolovrat S/S 2013 collection on FuckingYoung!

STNTN 2012

Founded in New York, 2011, and now based in Paris, neckwear and leather goods maker, STNTN, offers minimalistic pieces for the man (or woman) who wants something a bit unique. I'm enjoying the creativity and simplicity of the products like the leather neckcuff, below. See more HERE on Selectism, including an attache and some files.

Mohsin Ali Autumn/Winter 2012

I always enjoy a graphic that is used smartly. That is what Mohsin Ali has done with his AW12 collection. Inspired by Bauhaus design ideals, his collection utilizes a strong triangle as the starting point for this experiment in prints. I think it works wonderfully on the coat below. See more HERE on Style Salvage along with a great write-up and quotes from the designer, himself.

Puma Boots--Tokyo Faces

There's so much I am enjoying about these puma boots as added to the overall look worn by this Tokyoite. First, the way the tongue of the boot pulls over with a (what looks to be) a velcro keep is so smart; it makes it easier to wear the boots without having to worry about the tightness of the pant leg. This gentleman's boots look to be well-worn, but I think it is with good reason: they are cool, versatile, and highly functional.

Sean O'Pry by Michael Schwartz for Black--New Zealand

I enjoy these looks for their urban cowboy, street smart vibe. The first look is all about the accessories: hat, boots, and jewelry. In fact, with exception of the boots, all the accessories are by Patricias: the hat, by Patricia Underwood; jewelry, by Patricia Von Musulin. The shoot was done by Michael Schwartz, capturing Sean O'Pry for New Zealand's Black Magazine. See the rest HERE on Fashionisto

Fun w/ fashion by Acne and Shake Appeal

What I enjoy most about these pieces are their playful yet cool qualities. This boot by Acne, the Zweig, is the kind of piece that generates double takes. Many times, a hybrid idea such as this can lose it's charm, but these boots retain style in addition to the utilitarian component (they also come in dark brown).

The shirt by Shake Appeal, as part of their Autumn/Winter 2012 collection, says it all; it's a geeky-cheeky. I'm digging the overall look as well.

Custo Barcelona Spring/Summer 2013

Patterns and colors come bursting off the runway as part of Custo Barcelona's Spring/Summer 2013 collection. There's a good deal of vivid and booming pattern, color, and texture being used in fashion at the moment. This is good, but it's even better when fanciful creations actually obtain harmonious ground; Custo Barcelona has done just that, particularly with the darker graphics. These looks are playful yet smart. Next Spring might be even more brilliantly deranged than the last. See more of Custo Barcelona's S/S 2013 collection, HERE on FuckingYoung!

Rxandy Capinpin for Status and Manilla Bulletin

Two striking pieces photographed by Rxandy Capinpin. The first is major headgear, styled by Red Mil for Status mag in the Philippines (shoot "East of Eden). The next is a white jacket, with sleeves featuring pyramid studs (shoot "One Directioner"), styled by Ryuji Shiomitsu.
